This Privacy Policy explains how GM4T (OPC) Private Limited (“GM4T”, “we”, “us”), which runs www.gm4t.academy (GM4T Academy and GuideMe4Thesis), collects and uses your personal data. We process personal data in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules.
1. What we collect
- Details you give us: name, email address, WhatsApp/mobile number, medical college, year of study, and anything you write in a form or message.
- Account and course data: if you register or enrol, your login details and course progress (Tutor LMS).
- Payment data: payments are processed by Razorpay. We receive the payment status and transaction reference; we do not see or store your card, UPI or bank details.
- Thesis mentorship material: documents, data sets and drafts you share for mentorship.
- Usage data: pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location and similar information collected through cookies and Google Analytics.
2. Why we use it
- To send the free downloads, notes and updates you ask for.
- To deliver mentorship and courses you purchase, and to contact you about them.
- To process payments and keep accounting records required by law.
- To improve the website and understand which content helps students.
- To send study updates on WhatsApp or email, only where you have ticked the consent box. You can withdraw consent at any time.
3. Consent and your rights
Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time by writing to rahul.gupta@gm4t.academy or replying “STOP” / using the unsubscribe option in our messages. You may ask us to access, correct, update or erase your personal data, and to nominate another person to exercise your rights. We will respond within a reasonable time.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website and services (for example hosting (Hostinger), email delivery, Razorpay for payments, Google Analytics, WhatsApp), under their own privacy terms, or where required by law.
5. Thesis material and confidentiality
Documents and data you share for mentorship are used only to provide that mentorship, are not published or shared with third parties without your permission, and are deleted or returned on request after the engagement ends, except where we must keep records by law. Please remove patient identifiers from data sets before sharing.
6. Retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose it was collected for: download requests and updates until you unsubscribe; mentorship records for one year after your thesis is approved; payment records as required under Indian tax law.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the website and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand usage. You can block cookies in your browser settings; some features may then not work.
8. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards. No online system is fully secure; if a personal data breach occurs, we will act as required by law.
9. Children
Our services are meant for medical students and doctors aged 18 or above.
